Hi, I’m Joy Opfer, Creator of Kyler Designs, eco modern jewelry made by hand in San Francisco. My jewelry is designed for you - the chic, modern, conscious woman who cares about herself and her planet. Your accessories are the final touch that sends you into the world with confidence and effortless style. All my life, I’ve been an artistic person with natural business sense and a love of human expression. This keeps my company and creativity in motion, and it also serves my deeper mission: To treat ourselves, each other, and the Earth with extraordinary love and respect. Jewelry is powerful – and a moment of love will shift your day. Whether you’re wearing yoga pants, hot jeans, a crisp blazer or a soft gown: those final touches send the message, “I care about me, and I have room to care about you too.” This is why I use high-quality, recycled metals from the USA, and plant a tree for every order. Every piece is created with intention to endure both time and trends. The pieces look stunning and also make a statement about a your worth and your values - and are never meant for a landfill. Since I began selling my jewelry, (I started designing way back in high school), it’s been amazing to glimpse my work on the streets of San Francisco -- hip chicks taking the train, stylish moms with kids playing in the park, and board room executives rushing with their morning coffee. My point is this: you who wear Kyler walk your talk and are each of service in your own way, with your own style. Because of this, I’m GRATEFUL our influence continues to grow. Kyler Designs have been seen in InStyle, Shape, Real Simple, Fitness, Teen Vogue (and many other magazines), are worn by celebs like Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, As each piece comes into existence, I give thanks to those who helped me grow: teachers who guided me while I earned my Bachelors in Art at Penn State and Masters in Graphic Communication at San Francisco State, colleagues in the world of corporate web design, Adam Clark and classmates at Scintillant Studio, my brilliant husband and fellow artists and designers. These makers continue to rouse my passion for knowledge, beauty, form and function. The fashion world can be superficial and unkind. Our days can already feel like there’s no room for ourselves, then on top of that, the target of how we “should” look is ever-shifting. Perhaps like you, I’m learning how to love myself, flaws and all. I’m often told that my designs – with their organic and perfectly “flawed” feel - are the go-to pieces that you wear every single day. That rocks my world, as I strive to make putting on your Kyler jewelry feel like slipping on that one pair of jeans that you just know look great. My goal is to create that little something, just for you, that gives a daily dose of pure, easy confidence!
